This is spot on as an initial observation.
Have you tried to sing the poem to the tune of the American national anthem? Does it work?
Now it is time to think about how you might present ideas from this poem visually. To do this, I recommend that you explore E.E. Cummings as a poet to get a clear fix on what his position would be in respect of patriotism in the US and then provide images to match some of the unique cultural references throughout this poem.
