Act 4 scene 1

In act 4 scene 1 the scene is set in Titus’s courtyard. Lavinia is chasing around young lucius who is carrying a pile of books. She is chasing him around, attempting to get a hold of one of the books. Titus stops young Lucius and allows her to find the book she needs. She picks out a book about a young women being raped in a forest. Marcus devises a way of writing in the sand of the courtyard with a pole without using his hands. Lavinia writes out the names of Demetrius and Chiron and Titus tells young Lucius and Marcus to keep quite about the identity of the rapists
